We also provide state-of-the-art sleep apnea treatment to help patients reclaim their sleep, health, and well-being.

Located in Ozark, MO, our dental clinic has treated patients throughout the region for over 30 years ‒ and Dr. David Struble, Samuel Gafencu and our staff welcome families and patients of all ages throughout the Ozarks to join us for a fun, compassionate, and quality dental care experience.

General Dentistry

At Riverpointe Dental Care, we take a personalized and proactive approach to your smile and oral health. We’ll work and communicate closely with you to deliver the services you need to renew your smile, health, and confidence.

Preventative Dentistry

Preventative dentistry is essential to preserving the health and beauty of your smile and minimizing the risk of gum disease, tooth loss, and expensive dental treatment later in life. We recommend patients visit the dentist every six months for teeth cleanings and checkups.

During a cleaning, our hygienists will remove plaque and tartar buildup, polish your teeth, and assist Dr. Struble in examining your oral hygiene. Utilizing intraoral cameras and digital X-ray technology, we can accurately detect and diagnose cavities, decay, disease, and abnormalities before they advance into bigger problems. We take the time to explain proper brushing and flossing techniques so you can take better care of your teeth at home. We also provide oral cancer screenings during routine dental cleanings.

Pediatric Dentistry

Starting your child at the dentist early in life sets them up for a lifetime of health, success, and happiness. As soon as your child’s first tooth emerges, and no later than their 1st birthday, they should visit the dentist.

Riverpointe Dental Care provides pediatric dental cleanings and checkups for infants, toddlers, young children, and adolescents throughout the Ozarks. We strive to teach every child the proper techniques and practices to maintain healthy, lifelong oral hygiene habits.

Root Canals

A severely infected or fractured tooth will often require root canal treatment. We focus on putting the patient at ease and making them feel comfortable throughout the procedure.

Once our dentist numbs the area with local anesthetic, Dr. Struble will then remove the top part of the tooth to access the innermost layer, known as the pulp. After removing the infected and damaged tissue, Dr. Struble will clean and disinfect the surrounding area. Then, we’ll seal the area and place a restoration (typically a dental crown) to protect and restore function to the tooth.

Dentures

Losing your teeth can be a life-changing event. Riverpointe Dental Care is here to restore your natural smile, as well as your quality of life. We customize partial and full dentures to replace missing teeth. Dr. Struble will work closely with you to design a set of dentures that maximizes the appearance, functionality, and integrity of your smile.

TMJ/TMD Therapy

Does your jaw click or pop? Do you grind your teeth at night? Do you frequently wake up with jaw pain, headaches, or toothaches?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you may be suffering from a temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD). TMD affects the temporomandibular joint, which is responsible for controlling the movement of the jaw and surrounding facial muscles.

Bruxism (teeth grinding), arthritis, stress, and injuries are some of the causes of TMD. Treatments vary and may include any or a combination of the following:

  • Dental splint/mouth guard
  • Relaxation exercises
  • Anti-inflammatory pain medication

Dr. Struble will work to identify the cause of your TMD and customize a treatment plan that minimizes your symptoms, improves your quality of sleep, and protects your teeth. If necessary, Dr. Struble may refer you to other physicians in the area who can provide advanced TMJ/TMD treatment.

Dr. Struble also performs occlusal (bite) adjustments at our office in Ozark, MO. If you have a misaligned jaw or bite or struggle with severe bruxism or TMD, we’ll provide a thorough examination and lay out a detailed treatment plan.

Bruxism/Teeth Grinding Treatment

Chronic teeth grinding can lead to tooth damage, sensitivity, and even tooth loss. If you struggle with daytime or nighttime teeth grinding, know that you have several options when it comes to bruxism treatment.

In many cases, we customize oral splints/mouth guards for patients who struggle with moderate to severe teeth grinding ‒ but our goal is to target and minimize triggers for your teeth grinding. Our dentist can review stress reduction techniques to help you relax your jaw muscles and minimize teeth grinding. Dr. Struble may prescribe anti-inflammatory pain medication or prescription muscle relaxers to help. Diet and lifestyle changes can also help.

Tooth Extraction

Severe tooth decay or injury may require tooth extraction. Discovering you may need a tooth pulled can be unsettling news, but Dr. Struble and our staff will do everything we can to make the procedure pain-free and comfortable from start to finish. Following the procedure, we’ll go over your options for a tooth restoration.

Dental Implant Restoration

Patients who have dental implants can explore their options for tooth restorations with Dr. Struble. We provide dental crowns to cover individual dental implants and bridges to cover areas where there are multiple dental implants. If you need dental implants, Dr. Struble can refer you to a specialist.

Gum Disease Treatment

Advanced gum disease, otherwise known as periodontitis, requires root planing and scaling to remove bacteria, calculus, and tartar. Treating gum disease as soon as possible is imperative to preventing bone and tooth loss and other complications. Root planing and scaling is most effective in the early stages of gum disease. More severe cases of gum diseases may require surgery.

Invisalign® Clear Aligners

Invisalign is a cutting edge orthodontic treatment designed to help patients correct bite issues and straighten their teeth gradually and discreetly. Invisalign is a great alternative to metal braces that uses clear plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. The aligners are virtually invisible and easy to remove and clean. If you have poorly aligned teeth or certain bite issues Invisalign can improve your smile with minimal interruption to daily life. Gain a new level of confidence in your smile without the painful metal wires and brackets with Invisalign.

The process begins with a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Allphin to assess your needs, answer any questions you may have, and determine if Invisalign can be an effective treatment for you. If we decide to move forward with this option, we will use our 3D iTero to guide us in developing an individualized treatment plan. Based on the detailed images of your teeth, alignment, and bite, we will create your customized aligners and give you a series of them to take home. Treatment time can vary based on your individual needs. Let us see if we can help.

Cosmetic Dentistry

You deserve to love your smile. But if your smile leaves you feeling self-conscious, Riverpointe Dental Care is ready to develop a personalized cosmetic treatment plan to help you radiate with confidence.

Dental Crowns & Bridges

Whether you have a weakened, decaying, or damaged tooth, a dental crown can restore and maintain the beauty of your smile.

A dental crown is a porcelain cap covering an individual tooth and restores its size, shape, and durability. Dental bridges work similarly to dental crowns by restoring areas where there are multiple damaged or diseased teeth in a particular area of the mouth.

Porcelain Veneers

Wish you had a fuller, whiter, and more uniform smile? If your teeth are crooked, discolored, and worn down, porcelain veneers are a great treatment option to bring out your best and naturally beautiful smile without the need for orthodontics or invasive surgery.

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are customized to fit and match the natural shape and color of teeth. Our dentist will fit each shell to every individual tooth before bonding it. The end result? A brighter, even, and picture-perfect smile.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

If you need a cavity filling, you need not worry about having unsightly amalgam fillings. With tooth-colored composite resin, it’s possible to fill cavities and restore the natural shape and color of a tooth. We can also use composite resin to correct minor chips, cracks, misshapen, or discolored teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Our teeth change color over time as we age, but yellowing, staining, and discoloration are more prevalent if you’re a smoker or regularly consume beverages like coffee, wine, or tea.

We offer professional teeth whitening services that produce faster and better results than over-the-counter whiteners. We customize our whitening trays to the natural color of your teeth. The bleach-based whitening agent is then enhanced with a special curating light. Within one appointment, you can have a visibly whiter smile!
